Niue might be the island to disconnect, but if you have to keep on top of work emails or need to keep in touch with people back home then you’ll probably like access to free WiFi. Admittedly, free WiFi isn’t readily available in Niue, but there are plenty of paid options. 1. Hanan International Airport

That’s right, upon arrival, you may notice that you have a WiFi connection to Hanan International Airport‘s free WiFi! Although not exactly “fibre-speed”, the WiFi at Hanan Airport provides a decent connection most of the time. Emphasis on the word “most”, as when the arrival flight comes in is when we have lost connection in our experience.

Location: Tapeu-Porritt Road, Alofi South on the west side of Niue.

2. All Relativf

3. Scenic Matavai Resort

The Scenic Matavai Resort offers one hour of free WiFi per day per device, which even works if you’re just visiting the restaurant. It’s worth noting that the WiFi at the resort is notoriously slow, however, the best signal is in the reception area. Although there are paid WiFi plans available, it’s worth checking the connection first before deciding whether it is worth purchasing. 4. Scenic Matavai Apartments & Villa

Approximately 1.5 km (0.9 mi) up the road from the main resort is the Scenic Matavai Apartments & Villa also offers one hour of free WiFi per day per device, which tends to have better speed than at the main resort. There will be not much reason to visit this accommodation unless you choose to stay at this complex of self-catering units with a communal barbecue area and swimming pool.
