Honeymoon Activities in Alofi

You’ll find the perfect balance of life-changing encounters with nature and independent activities that you can enjoy just the two of you in Alofi. Check out the 7 Romantic Activities in Alofi for Couples, while here are some of the highlights…

Whale and Dolphin Swimming

On top of world-class scuba-diving, you and your loved one can share a once-in-a-lifetime experience together swimming with some of the largest mammals on our planet. Just a short drive north of Alofi town, Magical Niue Sea Adventures offers whale swimming encounters between July and September where you’ll get the opportunity to see these gentle giants through vividly clear waters. We recommend booking a couple of tours to maximise your chances of a good whale swim. Alternatively and available all year round, hold onto the side of the boat as you are gently pulled along with acrobatic spinner dolphins in their element! Learn more about whale and dolphin swimming in The Guide to Swimming with Whales in Niue and The Guide to Swimming with Dolphins in Niue.

Find Yourself a Secluded Beach or Swimming Hole

Even in Niue’s capital, the beaches, sea caves and inlets are often secluded. Walk hand-in-hand down one of the short Alofi sea tracks to, for instance, Utuko Reef where you’ll find a golden coral sand beach where reef walking and floating with a snorkel at low tide is a fabulous experience. Alternatively, climb down the ladder to a swimming cave on the Amanau Sea Track, best visited at low tide.

Treat Your Loved One to Dinner

Alofi has a surprising array of eateries that delight the senses. Share fresh sushi or a New York-style pizza at the Kaiika Restaurant, sharing a naughty rum and raisin ice cream for dessert. Enjoy sundowners with stunning views from the Vaiolama Cafe, open Thursdays for Happy Hour drink. See more recommendations in our Guide to the Best Eats & Restaurants in Alofi.
